Apollo NC – Code of Conduct

The code of conduct for Apollo Nudist Club (Apollo NC) is founded on the principles of respect, consent, and safety, explicitly prohibiting sexual harassment, indecent exposure beyond accepted naturist practices, and any inappropriate behaviour involving children. The club is committed to creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment that upholds privacy and dignity, while ensuring suitable conduct within clothing-free settings. Comprehensive guidelines address the orientation of new visitors, regulate alcohol consumption, and establish clear procedures for reporting concerns, thereby supporting a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests. 

Key Principles

• Respect and Dignity:
  Members must treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, age, or body type. 

• Consent:
  All interactions should be consensual. There should be no unwanted touching or actions that make another person uncomfortable or threatened. 

• Safety:
  The environment must be safe from emotional, physical, verbal, and sexual abuse. 

• Privacy:
  Respecting others’ privacy and confidentiality of personal information is essential. 

Prohibited Conduct

• Sexual Harassment: 
  Any form of sexual harassment, inclusive of but not limited to the encroachment into an individuals personal space, unwanted sexual attention or behaviour, is strictly forbidden. 

• Indecent Exposure:
  Only natural nudity as a way of life is acceptable; displaying explicit images or behaviours that are not part of the naturist practice is not permitted. 

• Inappropriate Behaviour Towards Children:
  Strict policies apply to protect children, prohibiting behaviours such as gawking, crowding, unwarranted touching, or offering gifts to non-acquainted children. 

• Discrimination:
  Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, age, body size, or any other characteristic is not tolerated. 

• Offensive Behaviour:
  Using offensive, demeaning, or hurtful language or engaging in rough play that could injure others is not allowed. 

Specific Policies and Guidelines

• Clothing-Free:
  The club operates on a clothing-free policy, though common sense clothing is acceptable in colder weather. Support clothing may be worn while engaged in physical games, sports activities or for health reasons. 

• New Visitors:
  A grace period may be offered to new visitors to adjust to the clothing-free environment, potentially allowing a sarong or wrap. 

• Alcohol Consumption:
  The consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted in moderation and excessive consumption of alcohol that leads to impaired judgment is not permitted so as to maintain a safe environment.

• Illicit Drugs:
  The use of illicit drugs, one that is illegal to have (for example, methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine), and the non-medical use of drugs that are legally available such as pain killers and sleeping pills, is prohibited at social events.

• Photography
  The taking of photos is only permitted by the appointed club photographer/s.

  Unauthorised photography and/or videoing (including use of camera phones) of adults and minors will not be tolerated at ANC events.

  Any person who would be likely to be in the field of view and is recognisable, must be given the opportunity to remove themselves from the field of view.

  It is incumbent on the photographer to be responsible in the choice of the photographic subject, angle, background etc. Anyone who is aware of a photographer taking less than acceptable photos is obliged to report that person to a club official or the appropriate authorities.

  No photograph taken at any official function may be exhibited or published without the express permission of the Committee. 

Reporting: 

• Any concerns or instances of inappropriate conduct should be reported to a club official as soon as possible.
